Ending explained (what happens + what it changes)

Full spoilers from here. The romance gets closure, but the ending also flips the power board in a way that feels like a deliberate “and now what?” moment.

TL;DR

Ending in one minute (full spoilers)

If you only read one section, read this.

The simple ending

The story gives you the romantic payoff: Daisy and Nolan end on a “we choose each other” note and the biggest immediate threats are removed. If you came for the main couple, this is the part that lands like a win.

But it does not fully shut the door. The ending also sets up a new power problem right after the happy moment, so it can feel like closure plus a warning label.

Who ends where (quick map)

  • Daisy + Nolan: romantic closure, “together” direction.
  • Klaudius: removed as a threat by the end.
  • Scott: also gone by the end.
  • Lucien: reveals himself as the real long-game problem and makes a move for power.
  • Mila: ends up tied to Lucien in a dark, controlling setup.

What happens

What happens in the final stretch

This is the “play-by-play” version, without making you watch every minute again.

1) Daisy + Nolan get the payoff

The ending gives a clear romantic beat: Daisy and Nolan finally land on the same side emotionally. Their relationship stops being “forced proximity and chaos” and turns into a real choice.

It’s not written as a quiet little wrap-up only — it’s written like a victory moment after surviving a lot of manipulation and power games.

2) The main threats are removed

Klaudius is taken off the board by the end, and Scott is gone as well. That matters because it closes the most obvious “big bad” loop and lets the romance breathe.

If you’ve been watching mainly to see the villain finally lose, this is where you get that payoff.

3) Lucien flips the table

The twist that changes the vibe: Lucien isn’t just a servant. He’s been playing his own game, and when Klaudius is gone, he moves. He escapes with Mila and positions himself as the new power figure.

This is the moment that makes some viewers say, “Wait… so the real story starts now?”

What the ending means for the whole story

Why the last twist changes how you read everything that came before.

It completes Daisy’s arc

Daisy starts as “weakling + outsider” energy, constantly positioned as disposable. By the end, she’s not written as a victim anymore — she’s the center of the future.

The ending basically says: she survives the bloodline mess, the pack politics, and the villain pressure, and still gets to choose love.

It validates Nolan’s “Beast” switch

Nolan’s big internal conflict is whether he’s just a brutal alpha shaped by trauma, or someone who can be fair and protective without turning cruel. The ending leans into him as the partner who finally picks Daisy openly.

That’s why the romance feels closed even when the world isn’t.

It shifts the “villain slot”

Removing Klaudius and Scott would normally mean “we’re done.” Instead, the story swaps villains: Lucien steps forward, Mila becomes part of his setup, and the ending introduces a new shady presence.

Translation: romantic closure, but the power war is not over.

What people say online about this ending

Why you’ll see “happy ending” and “that’s not an ending” in the same comment thread.

The “satisfying enough” camp

If your main question is “Do Daisy and Nolan end up together?” the ending gives you that relief. The romance lands, the immediate villains are removed, and it feels like the story did its job.

People in this camp treat the Lucien stuff as an optional epilogue hook, not the real ending.

The “sequel bait” camp

The Lucien reveal is the reason some viewers feel a little robbed: it’s a big twist, it re-centers the conflict, and it arrives right after the romantic payoff.

If you wanted “villain defeated, peace, credits roll,” this ending will feel like it stops mid-sentence on purpose.

My take (read this like a fan)

Personally, I think it’s a smart ending if you judge it as two endings stitched together: the romance ends, the power story opens. That’s why it hits both “ahhh finally” and “wait WHAT?” at the same time.

If you like twisty mini-series, it works. If you like clean closure, it’s going to annoy you a bit — and that’s kind of the point.

If you want closure: check Part 2 Because the twist points there
Part 2

Part 2: is there a sequel?

The ending is written like a setup. That doesn’t automatically mean a Part 2 exists.

What the ending sets up

Lucien taking power and dragging Mila into his escape plan is not a tiny loose end — it’s a whole new conflict lane. Add the final “new shady presence” moment, and the story is clearly leaving a door open.

What a Part 2 would likely focus on

  • Lucien as the new big bad (power + obsession).
  • Mila’s situation becoming a major plot engine, not just “mean girl” drama.
  • Daisy + Nolan having to defend their future after finally choosing it.
